Important Disclaimer & Travel Terms
This section applies to all programs offered under Explore Buenos Aires & Beyond Journeys, Tango Immersion Journeys, and Buenos Aires Wellness & Tango Retreat – Solo Women.
(The boring — but necessary — bit)
By registering for any journey, you acknowledge and agree to the following terms.
Travel Conditions & Local Context
Argentina is a vibrant and culturally rich country, but travel may involve challenges such as economic fluctuations, price changes, service availability, transportation delays, strikes, public events, weather conditions, or schedule changes.
Buenos Aires is a large metropolitan city. Participants are expected to exercise basic urban awareness and personal responsibility at all times.
Role of the Organizer
The organizer acts as a program host, cultural guide, and coordinator, not as a travel agency or tour operator.
Certain services are provided by independent third parties, including but not limited to tango instructors, venues, drivers, hotels, airlines, and activity providers. The organizer is not responsible for the acts, omissions, or performance of these third parties.
Transportation & Mobility
Unless explicitly stated, local transportation (taxis, Uber, public transport) to and from activities is not included and remains the participant’s responsibility.
Some journeys and extensions include road travel. The organizer is not responsible for delays, accidents, road conditions, traffic, or disruptions beyond their control.
Flights & Travel Disruptions
Air travel disruptions may occur, including overbooking, delays, cancellations, schedule changes, or denied boarding, particularly during high-demand periods.
Any additional costs resulting from airline decisions (such as accommodation, rebooking fees, meals, transfers, or missed activities) are the responsibility of the traveler.
Luggage & Personal Belongings
All baggage and personal property (including cash, documents, and valuables) remain at the traveler’s own risk throughout the journey.
For extension trips where light travel is recommended, main luggage may be stored at the Buenos Aires hotel. While this is a common and generally secure practice, the organizer is not responsible for stored personal belongings.
Visas, Documentation & Entry Requirements
Travelers are fully responsible for ensuring that their passport, visas, entry requirements, and travel documents are valid and comply with Argentine regulations.
The organizer is not responsible for denied entry, visa issues, or documentation errors.
Health, Safety & Insurance
Travel insurance is mandatory and must cover medical care, accidents, trip cancellation, delays, and personal belongings.
By joining the program, you confirm that you are physically and mentally fit to participate in the activities selected and accept responsibility for your own wellbeing.
Participation, Early Departure & Missed Activities
All activities are optional. No refunds are provided for unused portions of the trip if you arrive late, leave early, miss activities, or choose not to participate for personal reasons.
Festival Dates & World Championship Scheduling
Festival dates are estimated based on previous editions. Official dates may start earlier or later, and not all program days are guaranteed to coincide with official Championship activities.
When events align, access will be curated where possible. On other days, the program focuses on training, milongas, and cultural experiences.
By registering, participants accept this scheduling uncertainty.
Media Usage Authorization
Participation implies consent for the use of photographs, video, or audio recordings taken during the journey for promotional or informational purposes.
If you do not wish to appear in media content, you must notify the organizer in writing prior to departure.
Trip Confirmation & Minimum Group Size
All journeys require a minimum number of participants to operate.
Trips will be officially confirmed once the minimum group size is reached, and no later than 12 weeks before departure.
Until official confirmation is communicated in writing, the trip remains pending confirmation.
Travelers are strongly advised NOT to purchase international flights or make non-refundable travel arrangements before receiving official trip confirmation.
The organizer is not responsible for flight costs purchased prior to confirmation.
Payments, Deposit & Cancellations
Deposit & Reservation
A non-refundable deposit of £900 is required to secure your place.
The deposit covers planning, reservations, and administrative costs.
Remaining Balance
The remaining balance is due 12 weeks before the departure.
If not received by this deadline, the reservation will be automatically cancelled and the deposit forfeited.
Cancellations by the Traveler
The deposit is non-refundable at any time.
The remaining balance is refundable up to 60 days before departure, after which it becomes non-refundable.
Organizer Cancellations
– If the trip is cancelled due to insufficient participants, all payments will be fully refunded, including the deposit.
– If cancellation is required due to circumstances beyond the organizer’s control (including political instability, safety concerns, natural disasters, border closures, or health emergencies), refunds will be issued excluding non-recoverable third-party costs.
The organizer is not responsible for additional expenses such as flights, accommodation, visas, or personal arrangements.
CONTACT & COMMUNICATION
All communication, bookings, and assistance are handled directly through the organizer.
